The Kettle Society supports people with mental illness to lead healthier lives by providing support services, advocacy, employment, and mentoring and housing. We work to raise awareness of mental health issues, break down stigma and reduce barriers for people with mental illness. Our goal is to promote the inclusion of people living with mental illness in all aspects of society.
Security Building Attendant - Kettle on Burrard Casual
Kettle on Burrard has 140 units, located on Burrard Street across from St. Paul’s Hospital. This is a 16- story affordable housing project includes community and commercial space. Easily accessible by transit. We have a team of Security Building Attendants as part of the Infrastructure & Facilities Team.

7:30am to 3:30pm, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, 6:00pm to 10:00pm, 10:30pm to 8:30am
On call, weekends as needed
Salary & Compensation:
$23.42 per hour + Benefits
Duties:
Ability to monitor security equipment and other related equipment
Ability to work with people with mental illness, hoarders, homeless, at risk and addictions
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Problem solving skills
Ability to perform administrative duties
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Must be able to work independently and in cooperation with others
Must be physically able to carry out the duties of the position
Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12
Two years recent related experience
Or, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Current and up to date certificates in Occupational First Aid Level 1

Mental Health First-Aid
